Her writing has appeared in The Times, Sunday Times Style, The Observer and British Vogue, and her short stories have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. In 2017 she won the Harper’s Bazaar Short Story Award.

A graduate of the University of East Anglia Creative Writing MA, Claire was awarded the Malcolm Bradbury Bursary and the Malcolm Bradbury Continuation Prize.

She was born in south-east London, where she still lives with her family.
